September 21-October 12: Sandpoint - Fall Foliage Island Tour Lake Pend Oreille Cruises offer a fall cruise of the Clark Fork Delta, with photo options and wildlife viewing from 11 am to 2 pm. October 3: Coeur d'Alene - Art from the Heart The Coeur d'Alene Arts and Culture Alliance is proud to present "Art from the Heart", the 5th annual fall arts festival. Each year the Alliance strives to create an event which gives the community a sampling of the arts in Coeur d'Alene. This year is no exception with offerings of Dance, Music, Theatre, Visual Arts, and opportunities to experience the creative art process. www.artsincda.org.

October 3-4: Sandpoint - All Bonner County Bazaar Community Assistance League's annual arts and crafts festival and sale at the Sandpoint Community Hall. 208-265-8284

October 4-5: Coeur d'Alene - Festa Italiana Come and enjoy the 3rd Annual Festa Italiana! Family entertainment, mouth watering food, cooking demonstrations, wine and beer garden, Italian Idol Karaoke Singing Contest, Artisan and Business booths and the Bolla Grape Stomp Contest. Kootenai County Fairgrounds in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho Saturday, 10 am. to 9 pm and Sunday, 10 am to 6 pm.

October 10: Coeur d'Alene - Opera in the Plaza A free opera concert as part of the city-wide, Art from the Heart, celebrating the visual and performing arts. OperaPlus@adelphia.net 

October 11: Sandpoint - Oktoberfest Celebration sponsored by Downtown Sandpoint with a beer garden, live music and German fare behind the Panida Theater from 12-6pm. Edwards Park and Truck Mills will be performing. Schweitzer's "Power Tower" climbing wall will also be set up. The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring children's activities from 2-4 pm, including pumpkin art, chalk art and cookie decorating. 208-255-1876

Schweitzer Mountain Resort hosts a pre-season Halloween party with live music by Tennis and Sweatshop Union in Taps Lounge, awarding a $500 prize for best get up, and a showing of the new Poor Boyz Productions ski movie "Yeah Dude!" featuring the top skiers on the globe running amok on Schweitzer Mountain. TBA: Moscow - 5th Annual Oat-Tober Fest, 6 pm at the American Legion Cabin in Potlatch. This fund-raising even is brought to you by the Ann Beckner Foundation, and includes a delightful evening of dining, dancing, and an auction. TBA: Moscow - 6th Annual Northern Idaho Pink Tea. This event is held in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. All funds raised will benefit the Bosom Buddies, a Gritman Medical Center program that provides mammography and other breast cancer related services for women in need in our local community.
