Schweitzer.com 208-263-9555 April 9: Sandpoint - Sandpoint Teen Slam Lost Horse Press is pleased to present the Sandpoint Teen Slam, the first in a series of 6 spoken word venues for young writers in the Rude Girls Room of the Sandpoint Library, the co-host of the Slam. The winners of the Sandpoint Teen Slam will go on to represent Sandpoint in the finals of the Get Lit Teen Slam in Spokane, Washington in late April. Sign up 30 minutes prior to the Slam. Lakeside in Coeur d'Alene features Gospel and other forms of contemporary sacred music, such as jazz, have always been audience favorites, so we're going to feature those genres in our final concert this season. The concert will be built around Michael Kissinger's Sacred Cantata, which features a number of different musical styles, from gospel to ballad to country, all done with a light jazz flair. We'll be rounding things out with other jazz and contemporary anthems, as well as a set of hand-clapping gospel pieces.
