February 26-April: Coeur d'Alene - Music Walk Enjoy an evening of local musicians inside several downtown Coeur d'Alene coffee shops, restaurants, galleries and more. Beginning at 5:00 p.m., participating venues will open their doors and present talented musicians from North Idaho. The event is free and open to the public! Music Walk will continue on the fourth Fridays through April. www.ArtsinCda.org

For the month of April - The column in the Sandpoint library is ringed in green as the trunk of the April National Poetry Month Poetree. Everyone is welcome to bring a poem, either original or a favorite, to post on the tree. You can bring it on a "leaf" or we will trim it to fit on a pre-cut "leaf." April 16: Sandpoint - Manding Jata. Pend Oreille Arts Council presents Manding Jata at 7:30 pm in the Panida Theater. Performances feature 800 years of Manding cultural arts: Kora, Mandinka & Bambara balafons, ngoni, djembe drum ensemble, flutes, dance, masquerade, acrobatics and Mande songs of celebration. April 17: Sandpoint - Second Annual Evening of Memories. The Sandpoint Senior Center sponsors the Second Annual Evening of Memories in the Ponderay Events Center. This fundraiser supports the DayBreak Center, a program that gives caregivers a safe place to take their loved ones diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimers. Cost is $30 per person for dinner and the dance. April 23: Sandpoint - Annual Wine Tasting, Dinner and Auction. The Festival at Sandpoint hosts their annual fundraiser, a gala event at the Bonner County Fairgrounds. The wine tasting and silent auction begins at 5:30 p.m., a gourmet catered dinner is served at 7 p.m., and the live auction begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $65 per person, and include the wine tasting, dinner and a commemorative wine glass.
